Seven Days to Feel Calmer
In the words of Rumi, “Your heart is the size of an ocean. Go find yourself in its hidden depths.” In a world that seems to feel crazier by the day, not to mention the happenings in our personal lives, the feeling of calm can seem elusive and out of reach.
But calm is not something we seek out, it’s something we create. It’s the space we carve out from the noise, the stillness we invite into our lives. It’s finding ourselves in the hidden depths of our heart as Rumi’s quote says.
Over the next seven days, I invite you to go inward with a few small, sacred practices that can help you feel calmer and lighter. This is not about adding more to what you already have going on but about letting go and inviting calm to enter your life.
Day 1: Be Grateful
Begin with a shift in perspective. When we focus on what we lack, we get stuck in a perpetual cycle of wanting. But when we focus on what we already have, we create a foundation of abundance. Gratitude is the reminder we give ourselves that we already have everything we need.
- Action Step: Take a moment today to write down a few things you are grateful for. Write down whatever comes to mind that makes you feel grateful. There’s no right or wrong answer.
- Why It Helps: Gratitude helps to keep us rooted in the present…
